Our primary facility houses Japan Komori fully automatic printing production lines, dry/solvent-free lamination machinery, high-speed slitters, and automated pouch-making systems. With a monthly capacity exceeding 240 metric tons, we provide robust logistics pipelines, technical material advice, and regulatory assurance to partners worldwide.

Advanced Material Structures & Barrier Engineering

Decoupling lamination technology for optimal shelf-life, puncture resistance, and machinability.

Achieving the perfect balance in flexible packaging requires custom-tailored material layers. Each laminate layer serves a distinct functional purpose, from moisture barrier (WVTR) and oxygen barrier (OTR) to physical puncture resistance and heat sealability. We engineer custom-designed co-extrusions and laminates to meet specific performance properties on automated high-speed VFFS or HFFS systems.

Outer Layer (Print Substrate)

Typically composed of PET, BOPP, or Matte BOPP. This layer provides structural tensile strength, thermal resistance during seal jaw contact, and serves as the medium for reverse gravure printing, safeguarding graphics from abrasion.

Barrier Layer (Middle Layer)

Utilizes Aluminum Foil (AL), Metalized Polyester (VMPET), Nylon (BOPA), or EVOH. This critical layer blocks oxygen, light, ultraviolet rays, and moisture vapor transmission, safeguarding flavor profiles and preserving product freshness.

Inner Sealant Layer

Engineered from Cast Polypropylene (CPP) or Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). Formulated for low-temperature heat sealing, hot-tack strength, and anti-static or slip properties to ensure smooth movement on packaging lines.

Application Category Common Layer Configuration Key Barrier Metrics (OTR/WVTR) Primary Technical Benefit
Snack & Confectionery BOPP / VMPET / LLDPE or CPP Low-to-Medium Barrier Light protection, crisp texture retention, cost-efficient processing
Coffee & High-Fat Powders PET / AL / LLDPE (or Matte PET) High Barrier (Zero Light/Gas) Aroma retention, oil resistance, protection against oxidation
Retort / Pasteurized Food PET / BOPA (Nylon) / R-CPP Ultra-High Thermal Barrier Withstands autoclaving up to 121°C/135°C, high puncture resistance
Alcohol & Sanitizing Pads Paper / PE / AL / Surlyn or LLDPE Chemical Resistant Barrier Prevents evaporation of volatile organic solvents and alcohol
Pet Food & Organic Kibble PET / BOPA / VMPET / PE Heavy-Duty Mechanical Barrier Excellent drop test performance, grease barrier, aroma lock

Product Process & Technical Flow

From cylinder engraving and high-precision gravure printing to multi-layer composite curing.

Rotogravure printing remains the industry benchmark for long-run high-quality film printing. By utilizing direct transfer of ink via engraved copper cylinders, it produces crisp micro-text, outstanding color density, and flawless photographic detail. Our processes are strictly regulated via ISO 9001:2015 methodologies to verify that seal strength, layer adhesion, and volatile organic compound (VOC) levels conform to FDA standards.

China Factory Supply Chain & Global Sourcing

Why international brands rely on Jieyang Yuanzhong for scalable, low-TCO flexible packaging.

Global procurement teams must evaluate suppliers beyond unit cost. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) encapsulates lead times, material reliability, yield rate on automated lines, and logistical predictability. Sourcing custom packaging roll film from China, and specifically from our hub in Jieyang, Guangdong, yields several critical supply chain advantages:

Raw Material Integration: Guangdong is home to one of the world's most dense petrochemical and plastic film processing clusters. We secure BOPP, PET, LLDPE, and specialty resins directly from nearby state-of-the-art chemical plants, minimizing intra-provincial transport fees and insulating our clients from global plastic market fluctuations.

Advanced Production Efficiency: By combining imported Japanese Komori machinery with our proprietary workflow configurations, we achieve high throughput with low web scrap. Our gravure printing cylinders are produced with high precision, ensuring register tolerances within ±0.1mm at printing speeds up to 250 meters per minute.

Seamless Logistics and Hub Ports: Located close to Shenzhen and Guangzhou ports, we provide rapid maritime dispatch to North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. We support diverse shipping arrangements, including FOB, CIF, DDP, and LCL consolidation, accommodating both large enterprises and growing brands.

Localized Support & Regulatory Compliance

Aligning with FDA, EU food safety mandates, and localized packaging equipment configurations.

Direct import of food contact materials demands strict regulatory compliance. At Yuanzhong Pack, our materials comply with domestic and international safety standards, including FDA Title 21 CFR (for the US market) and EU Regulation No. 10/2011 (for plastic materials intended to come into contact with food). We conduct regular tests for heavy metals, primary aromatic amines (PAA), and overall migration limits to ensure absolute safety.

In addition to safety compliance, our technical sales engineers provide remote and localized troubleshooting for VFFS and HFFS packaging machinery. If you experience film tracking errors, seal wrinkles, or incomplete cut-offs on your Bosse, Ilapak, or Hayssen packaging lines, we help you adjust tension profiles, slip coefficients (COF), and heat-seal dwell times. We ensure the rollstock is customized to your equipment's mechanical specifications, including core sizes (typically 3-inch or 6-inch), unwinding directions, and eye-mark placement for precise optical registration.

Emerging Trends in Rollstock Packaging

Decarbonization, mono-material structures, and smart optical features.

The flexible packaging sector is undergoing a massive transformation driven by sustainability mandates and automation. Key trends include:

1. Recyclable Mono-Material Laminates: Historically, multi-layer films combining PET and PE were difficult to recycle due to mixed polymers. We are pioneering mono-material solutions such as MDO-PE/PE and PP/CPP laminates. These structures maintain barrier properties while qualifying for clean recycling streams.

2. Bio-Based and Compostable Barrier Films: Utilizing PLA (Polylactic Acid) and paper substrates with biodegradable polymer coatings, we help brands transition away from fossil-fuel-based packaging for dry food items and short shelf-life consumables.

3. Anti-Counterfeiting and Smart Packaging: By embedding unique QR codes, holographic patterns, or color-shifting inks directly into the gravure printing process, we help luxury food and cosmetic brands guarantee product authenticity in international markets.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Technical answers to complex flexible packaging and roll film procurement inquiries.

What is the typical Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for custom printed roll film?
Our standard MOQ for rotogravure printed roll film is determined by the length of the run, typically starting at 500 kg per design. This is due to the raw material requirements of our laminating machinery and the setup waste generated during copper cylinder installation and ink calibration. Smaller trial orders are open for negotiation depending on material structures.
How does Coefficient of Friction (COF) impact packaging machine performance?
The Coefficient of Friction (COF) of the inner sealant layer (e.g., PE or CPP) is vital for proper runnability on automated form-fill-seal lines. Generally, we target a COF range between 0.20 and 0.30. If the COF is too high, the film sticks to the forming collar, causing jams. If too low, it slips, leading to tracking and cutting errors. We adjust slip additives during extrusion to match your specific machinery.
Do you offer solvent-free composite lamination, and why does it matter?
Yes, we provide both dry lamination and advanced solvent-free lamination. Solvent-free lamination uses solventless adhesives that do not release volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This process is highly recommended for organic foods, infant formulas, and medical items because it prevents chemical odor transfer and satisfies strict eco-labeling standards.
How is cylinder fee calculated, and who owns the copper plates?
Cylinder fees are calculated per color based on the width of the film and your bag design. If your design requires 8 colors, we engrave 8 separate cylinders. The plates are paid for by the buyer but stored at our climate-controlled warehouse in China. They are maintained by our technical staff and are reserved exclusively for your production runs.
Can you provide high-barrier films suitable for gas flushing (MAP)?
Yes, we design film structures specifically for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP). For nitrogen or CO2 flushing, we use multi-layer films with EVOH or PVDC-coated PET/BOPA layers. These substrates block oxygen gas transmission, maintaining the modified atmosphere inside the pouch to double or triple product shelf life.
