The global plastic packaging and printing industry is experiencing an accelerated transition driven by circular economy mandates and strict regional waste regulations (such as the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation - PPWR). Historically, multi-layer films relied on complex, multi-polymer laminates (e.g., PET/AL/PE or BOPA/PE) to achieve the necessary gas, light, and moisture barrier properties. However, these mixed materials pose significant challenges for modern mechanical recycling streams.

Following printing, the composite step uses solvent-free lamination technology.
